Four Families album release party + the new “La Florida” Music Video

It’s here! Our newest album has been in the making for months and we’re excited to finally share it with you all. The songs were recorded and mixed by our dear friend RickoLus at The Green Shed in Jax Beach. Come celebrate our release with us at Rain Dogs on March 1st. We’ll be playing the classics as well as a slew of new songs. Doors at 9pm and guest artists TBA.

We also recently released our first ever music video! CrushedBlack and Gravity Dog Productions captured our state in a way that compliments the song “La Florida” so beautifully. We had the privilege of unveiling the video with Canary in the Coalmine a couple of weeks ago. Watch the official video for “La Florida” below.

We’ve got a busy, but fabulous few weeks ahead of us. Thank you for your support, keep the beat.

Quiet, not Silent

Hi there, we’ve been quiet on here for a bit, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! We’ve been working on new recordings, a music video (!!), an iPhone app, and much more, we can’t wait to share all our efforts with you.

Tomorrow night is our FIRST ever St. Augustine show!! We’ll be at The Standard to support the David Mayfield Parade and Kayleigh Baker! Tickets are $10 pre-sale/$12 at the door.

Also happening tomorrow is an incredible concept iPhone app called the Aurora App that will launch in ONE day in downtown Jacksonville via One Spark. Aurora App is a soundtrack-to-your-city in which musicians choose an (“echo”) location and compose a site-specific piece to accompany the listener’s tactile experience. This app will be exclusively transmitting our first single in over a year, “La Florida.”

Here’s a teaser video with our song – Aurora Video Trailer #1 . (Hey mom, we’re in a commercial!)

Make sure you download the app so you can hear what we’ve been up to, along with the amazing contributions of musicians like Radical Face, RickoLus, Wudun, Emperor X, and more!  We’re honored to be in this artist line-up and hope you’ll support the Aurora App by voting for them -One Spark creator #242. Stop by the CoWork Jax office suites for a FREE pair of Aurora headphones.

Less than 24 hours til the release of the Aurora App!

Halloween in Retrospect

Last night we celebrated the most harrowing of holidays at Underbelly with much music, drinking and all of our favorite, well-disguised friends. A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support us as well as the awesome bands we played with: Canary in the Coalmine, Tobacco Pat, and Single White Herpe and the Aids. And, of course, thank you to Underbelly for hosting the event (also, I left my tab open, I’m sorry – just wanted to clear the air on that one).

Our next big show is coming up soon – a battle of the bands to determine who will make it to The Big Ticket festival! We hope to see all of you there or [at the very least] sometime soon.
